Expand description

What an app asks a text field to do, through App::take_text_command, as its menu or its search would: the field’s cursor and selection are the runtime’s, which the app does not see.

Variants§

§

Copy

Put the selection in the clipboard.

§

Cut

Put the selection in the clipboard and delete it.

§

Paste

Type the clipboard over the selection.

§

SelectAll

§

Select

Select the bytes start..end of the value, the cursor at end, and scroll a multiline field to them; start == end only places the cursor. Offsets beyond the value are taken back to its end, and into a character to its start.

Fields

§start: usize
§end: usize
§

Reveal

Self::Select leaving the focus where it is, as a search does while its own field keeps the keys; a multiline field without the focus shows its selection dimmed.

Fields

§start: usize
§end: usize
