Show boot messages between the logo and the progress bar, and hide them on request
The message callback was written for the notice that ends a password prompt when a TPM unlock wins the race. It drew the text with the default font, pinned to the top edge of the screen. It now also has to carry status messages sent with plymouth display-message, such as the one eydos-installer shows while it grows the root filesystem on the first boot. The text now uses the font.mid size the theme already picks from the screen height. It is centred horizontally and placed halfway between the bottom of the logo and spinner group and the progress bar, above the background sprites.
The theme registered no hide-message callback, so plymouth hide-message had no effect and a message stayed on screen until the splash closed. HideMessageCallback, registered with Plymouth.SetHideMessageFunction, drops the message sprite. The function is available in the script plugin of plymouth 24.004 shipped by trixie.
